AMAG Import AG is the Swiss general importer of the Volkswagen group brands VW, Škoda, Audi and SEAT and VW commercial vehicles. It is therefore not surprising that Audi AG uses AMAG to inform its customers about callbacks.
For example, AMAG wrote to its customers about the Audi recall campaign 23X6. The adjacent letter specifically refers to the Audi A8 4.2 TDI with 258 KW / 350 PS.

What does the KBA say?
According to the Kraftfahrtbundesamt (KBA), the A8 with its 4.2 liter EURO 5 should not be affected. In its report, the KBA only explains that the EURO 6 engines are affected by the exhaust gas scandal.
It is surprising that there was only the 258 KW / 350 PS 4.2 TDI with EURO 5 standard in the A8 - and not the EURO 6 at all Switzerland.

We advise affected customers with the A8 4.2 liter TDI EURO 5 to make their claims against Audi urgently. Based on previous experience, it can be assumed that these customers in Germany will soon receive a request for a software update.
